What I’m Loving Wednesday – A bit of this and that

I’m link up with beautiful Jamie over at This Kind of Love.

Now that my desk has been stuffed in our unfinished basement and taken prisoner to all of my packed boxes of home décor, fine china and God knows what else, I’ve really started missing having a beautiful office to work at. I miss having my couch, my bookcases, my desk and everything else set up in the perfect way. Having my space is very important to me, so my hands are itching to recreate my space or something along the same lines. Here is what my office looked like in our apartment:

I was never a big fan of what my office looked like, and really in the time we lived at the apartment I never got around to really changing it to the way I wanted it to look. But now I’m loving the idea that I can create a whole new space with whatever the heck I want.

So these are the pretties that I’m loving

I really, really love the light colors, and the femininity that goes with each of these rooms. I also love the amount of light these get. My next office will defiantly have LARGE windows and lots of natural light.

I’m also loving these boots. I have a thing for boots… all kinds of boots, and I may or may not have about 10 pairs. I am currently loving the Vintage and distressed look and these two beauties fit the bill just right. Now only if I had $600 extra to drop on a pair of new boots!

I’ve been lacking in the jean department. I’ve mentioned a few times that I’ve been living out of three pairs of jeans and a few t-shirts on here before. Well, it’s because all the jeans I have either don’t fit me anymore or they are so old that they threaten to fall apart every time I stick them in the wash. Again, I’m loving the Vintage and once worn look so these are what I’ll end up getting.

I also hate when my jeans don’t cover my heels all the way, so being 5’7 and usually wearing a good 5 inch heel I need to buy jeans that are long enough to cover my whole heel. Hence why these babies are so long. I just cannot stand the unintentional “high water” look. There are jeans that you can wear with flats and others that you wear with heels. Please do not confuse them!

Coach! Is my weakness. I will never hesitate to drop several hundred on Coach bags, thank GOD that there is a Coach Outlet store close to us, otherwise my poor husband would divorce me for spending so much money. I’m not a handbag gal, but when I do buy one it has to be of good quality and usually Coach. I’ve been looking for a cross body bag that I can use while traveling. I had a Guess canvas one I used for years, but it’s a bit beat up and out of shape, so it’s time for a new one. This little guy caught my eye, and it might be making an appearance in my collection soon.

And as always I’m loving my fantastic Mister.

What I’m Loving Wednesday

It seems that I’ve been loving lots of things lately so I’m linking up with Jamie over at this kind of love.

I’m loving that we’ll be visiting the Grand Canyon in two months time with some of our best friends

It’s hard to beat this kind of natural beauty and we hear August is some of the best time to go.

These pumps!

And the fact that they should be arriving at my doorstep sometime today. Yay! for sexy nude pumps.

These Dresses

image   image

You may think I’m crazy, but I was wearing a long ribbed tank the other day while trying to find a pair of jeans to wear, and the hubby commented that a dress like that would look cute. I remembered seeing them at Victoria Secret and here they are.

I also came across this dress while looking for the two above. Yup. I’m in love.

And this.

Smile

Okay and one last one

How I wish I had a bottomless wallet that could afford all these pretty dresses.

I’m kind of… sort of… loving the fact that this could be our new city, potentially

Austin, Texas

or this

Dallas, Texas

Loving that I will have the opportunity and the choice to make our first house look like this:

These are just ideas, but some that come from the builder that we are looking to build with. These models and styles are available both in Austin and Dallas area.

I just really love the fact that I will walk into a home that I have chosen rather then one that will need to be scrubbed and cleaned. Our first home will have everything that we wont and will need zero amount of “prettying up.” I hope I don’t sound like a snob, but neither the Mister nor I really get into home improvement DIY projects so if we moved into an older home and it didn’t have hardwood floors we’d have to hire someone to replace the carpet or redo counters or what not. So in order to save us the time, headache and money we have finally decided to build… Not custom just yet, but brand new for sure.

Ha! On that note… I’ll finish up with the fact that I’m always and forever loving my amazing husband!

It was kind of freezing on graduation day. Hence the hoodie, leather jacket and gloves.

What I’m Loving Wednesday!

I had so much fun linking up with Jamie over at This Kind of Love, last Wednesday and reading all the fabulous posts from everyone that I am doing it again today.

First and foremost, I am loving the fact that today is my last chemistry lectures, hopefully forever. Yup, one more quiz to do today, a homework assignment due by Friday and a final on Monday and I will be done. Keep your fingers crossed that I actually pass the class, and am done for … well … forever!!!

For those of you who know my shoe obsession, this will come as no surprise…

I am absolutely in love with these Naughty Monkey Mish Mash Ankle-Strap Pumps. Aren’t they fantastic? I love the bright yellow as well. It is such a perfect summer color. Not to mention, that Naughty Monkey shoes are probably some of the most comfortable heels I have ever owned. These beauties might be added to my list of graduation gifts… HINT HINT*** Mom!!!

I am back to a daily visit to the gym, now that my knee is feeling better. I am loving it. There really isn’t a better high then getting all the yuck out of your system with a good workout! I especially love going to the gym in the morning, because it gets me up and going with lots of energy for the rest of the day.

I am very much loving myfitnesspal.com which has been the most fantastic tool for me thus far in my new journey to find a balanced life that is both healthy and fit. I have never been able to count calories, but this little guy helps keep track of everything, and the best part is I can do it all from my phone!

Today is also my grandfather’s 79th birthday. I cannot tell you how happy I am that he is here with us to celebrate. He has had quite an eventful year (78) with being hit by a car, several other biking accidents, getting diagnosed with TB to only be told that he didn’t have TB and to top it off be diagnosed with lung cancer and survive a surgery that people half his age would barely have a chance to. Now,5 weeks after his surgery my grandfather is back on his bike doing 50 to 70 mile trips, lugging books around and running around just like his old self.

Happy 79th Birthday!!!

And of course, I am loving my fantastic hubby who has been nothing but supportive, loving and understanding through our 4 years of dating and a year and a half of marriage.

Love you Mister!

What are you loving today?! Head over to Jamie’s and link up!

What I’m Lovin’ Wednesday

I decided that instead of my usual Wednesday Wants, I’d link up with Jamie over at This Kind of Love.

Above all else, I’m loving my husband today. I couldn’t have asked for a better man in my life. He may be grumpy once in a while, we may bicker here and there, but at the end of the day he makes me happier then anyone or anything else which is really all that counts.

SanFran001

I’m also loving the fact that I have two more classes of Chemistry left, one homework assignment, one quiz and one big, ugly final. Hopefully, they will all go well, and I will be able to pass, which in turn would mean I’d get a diploma and be done with my undergraduate career.

Yup, I defiantly know what this kid is feeling, and I will be doing a little jig upon walking out of my final, you can count on it.

Smile

I’m also obsessing a little over some new jewelry. I tend to get like this right around end of Spring beginning of summer. I always want new and bright jewelry. My favorite stones other then diamonds are sapphires and emeralds and I’ve been seeing lots of cute combinations of these guys.

I am also loving that I can find matching items. I love when my jewelry matches. I’ve actually gone as far as to order custom pieces to match already existing pieces. In fact, I’m super excited for this June when I get to meet a new jewelry who specialized in creating matching pieces. He has done several rings for my friend, including her wedding ring and they are breathtaking.

Finally, I’m loving that the sun is shining. That it’s Wednesday and I get to have lunch with my grandpa. That I am sitting here, writing, reading and enjoying a hot cup of tea.

Today is one of those days that I am grateful for.

I hope y’all have a wonderful day full of smiles and love.

Wednesday Wants

There are some things that are a must in a girls collection. For me, an overpriced jewelry collection, a ridiculous number of shoes and accessories are a must.

Lately I’ve been wanting some essential items to add to my wardrobe.

1. Two set of matching solitaire diamond studs

I wear jewelry on a daily basis. I have my wedding ring, then a right hand sapphire ring. I also wear a small star diamond necklace that my husband got for me for our first Christmas together, and of course two sets of studs, however my studs are just sterling silver and it makes me sad. I have a few pairs of diamond earrings but they are too fancy for everyday wear, hence I’ve been drooling over some diamond, round cut studs like the pair above. I’d love to be able to get a set of 1/2C (1CTW) ones and another about 1/4C(.5CTW) to wear together since I have double piercings on my ears. I’m thinking these might be a Christmas present Smile.

2. A new set from Swarovski

image           image

This is the Hot Montana Set from Swarovski’s collection. The necklace is $340.00 the earrings are $150.00. No big deal!! My parents bought me my first set of Swarovski jewelry for my 16th birthday and ever since I’ve been spoiled. While I love chip jewelry for a night on the town, I prefer diamonds and Swarovski crystals for anything else. I saw this set right before my birthday at the Swarovski store at Park Meadows and started drooling over it, hopefully the Mister will see fit to get this for me, or I just might splurge if I ever graduate.

3. Scarves!!!

I am loving all the pretty and light scarves lately. They just dress an outfit right up, and it is beautiful. I think instead of investing in some ready made ones I might try my hand at making them. I’ve seen a few very pretty fabrics at JoAnns!! Smile If they turn out well I might even do a giveaway for one.

For this Wednesday that’s all I really want! Some expensive jewelry and inexpensive scarves. I say they balance each other out pretty well!!

Q: What do y’all think of the scarf trend? Are you in? If so, what are your favorite colors and outfits to wear them with?
