Blog Sale!!!! [SHOES]

For those of you who know me, you also know that I am obsessed with shoes. We’re talking more then 200 pairs obsessed. And can you imagine that from those 200+ pairs I could only part with this handful. And even so I’m pretty reluctant to do it, but most of these babies haven’t been worn in over a year and I think it’s time they find a home with someone who’ll pay them a bit more attention.
So here they are:
IMG_7494
Brand: Aldo  Size: 39  Material: Leather Color: White Price: $10.00
I bought these babies about two years ago, maybe three. Wore them maybe 5 times, most likely less. Their a bit narrow on my foot. I don’t have a wide foot, but these seemed a bit narrower then most Aldo shoes. I love them dearly, and wish I could wear them more, but they’ve just been sitting around collecting dust. Oh and just a note there is a tiny little hidden wedge that will give you just a bit more height.
IMG_7495 IMG_7497
Brand: Madden Girl (UmaaSize: 8.5  Material: Not Leather Color: Plum Price: $10.00
These shoes were originally $60.00, and I wanted them desperately, but there was not a chance in heck I was going to pay full price. I waited a while and ended up getting them for half the price. I’ve had them for over a year now, and wore them maybe 3 times, I can recall two of these times. They are super cute and get lots of complements but for some reason I just don’t wear them often enough.
IMG_7498
Brand: Michelle D  Size: 8.5 M  Material: Leather Color: Light Blue Price: $5.00
These are a bit older, and much more loved. Maybe some of the most comfortable summer shoes I’ve ever had. I bought these several years ago, and honestly couldn’t tell you exactly how long. What I can tell you is that I wore them a ton (compared to my other shoes). The sole is a bit worn, but the shoe is in very nice shape. I tried these on after I took the photo and reconsidered selling them, but I promised myself that everything I pulled out of the closet will go on here. So here they are. Comfy, light and very very loved.
IMG_7505 IMG_7506
Brand: Gianni Bini  Size: 8.5 M  Material: Leather Color: Light Pink/Blush Price: $5.00
This is another pair of very loved shoes. Same story as above with the blue Michelle D pair. I think I actually bought these two at the same time, maybe even on the same shopping trip. Both came from Dillard’s I know that. The sole is a bit worn but no holes or anything. I wore these for a season maybe two and they have been sitting in my closet sense then. I love the light pink color and the fact that there is a different shade of pink and a lavender that are in the front straps. Super comfy shoe for a day out shopping! These babies took a trip with me to Austria!

Brand: Candie’s  Size: 8.5 (I think)  Material: Not Leather Color: tan Price: SOLD
So I’m not really sure when or why or how I got these guys. I want to say they were a present from someone, maybe?! They are nothing too special, I did wear them a few times. Their comfortable enough for a day on your feet. Simple enough to go with almost enough. I simply have other wedges that I love more, and these guys have taken the backburner. I was a bit surprise to find them in the back of my closet. I don’t have any emotional ties to this pair, so can’t really tell you much.

Brand: Bakers  Size: 8.5  Material: Leather Color: Silver Price: SOLD
When flats came into fashion, I looked high and low for a pair of perfect silver flats for some occasion or another. I remember everything I liked was over $100, and I even considered buying a pair at $80 even though I didn’t love them. That same day I came across these at Bakers when I was looking for a completely different shoe. They were $40.00 and I had to have them. I wore them a few times after that. Their comfortable enough, but they are flats, and my feet use to hate flats so these guys got forgotten about until today when I pulled them out of the closet. They need a home.
Day 5. High AngelGuess Slip ons
Brand: Guess  Size: 8.5 M  Material: Leather Sole Fabric Upper Color: Black with silver heel Price: $10.00
These are one of my favorite Guess shoes. I love Guess in general, especially the Carries, they are so comfortable and perfect for my foot. BUT being the clumsy mess that I am, I need at least a sling back when it comes to heels. Hence, these lovelies were bought and worn only a handful of times, and then sat in my closet waiting for the day that I would become less clumsy and could wear them with grace. Since I doubt I’m going to become more graceful in the next few decades they need a new home.

IMG_7527
Brand: Antonio Melani  Size: 8.5 M  Material: Leather Color: Pink Price: $8.00
I drooled over these babies for a whole season before I gave in and bought them. This was when I was still in high school, and worked at the bookstore with my grandfather, and had to pay for gas, car, and everything else I wanted to do out of pocket because I was too “grown up” to bum money off my parents. Don’t' ask I was a weird child. So I saved and waited until these went on sale and bought them. The fact that they were pink, high and that I was still in high school really limited where I wore these. Again, these shoes have maybe been worn a handful of times. Lovely little things, and now that I think about it and look at them the heel isn’t quite as high as I use to think.
IMG_7529
Brand: Gap Size: 8.5 M  Material: Leather Color: Tan/goldish Price: $5.00
I bought these right before my last trip to Mexico, took them all the way out there to wear with one dress. Wore them and they have yet to be worn again. I wish I had grabbed the 9s instead of the 8.5 because I feel that they are a bit small on me. They are super cute and pretty comfortable. Perfect for a day on the town or on the beach.

Friday Confessions

It’s Friday again and time for the confessions for the week. I’m linking up with Mamarazzi!

Photobucket

I confess...

... that I'm somehow running a week ahead in my schedule but I'm about a week behind in the workload.

... I'm putting aside write several assignments just to spend some time with a friend and her kids, and I love it. I hope that when I have kids I can be as good a mom as my friend and have adorable children like her. In all honesty she's my idol!

... I drink entirely too much caffeine in form of coffee and tea.

... I LOVE literally LOVE helping others when it comes to school, work and building personal goals. I think this is the psychologist in me coming out. AND honestly if I didn't need the money I'd do it for free.

... I also love meeting people, and am grateful to have met so many amazing people in my short life.

... I am a little jealous of my friend that will be heading out to Mexico tomorrow morning, but I hope that she has an amazing time because she truly deserves the vacation.

... my kitchen is a mess.

... but my laundry isn't piling up.

... I'm going to go with the Mister to his Magic tournament tonight, even though I'd rather be doing something else. But he wants my support, therefore he will get it.

... I'm also a little jealous of my Mister, because he's little blog that is only a month and a week old has already gotten more views then mine, and he's averaging about 300+ views a day. Head over and check it out if you want to OD on Magic the Gathering info.

... my friend and I are working on a project that should be completely amazing, and I hope y'all will love. I'm a little nervous about how well it will turn out but hope that it is fantastic. It would be amazing.

... I am still taking pictures for the blog sale! Who new I had so much stuff. And I haven't even done the final run through my closet. Sad isn't it?!

I'm thinking this weekend you should see the blog sale going up, however I have a question, would you guys rather see it in one post? several posts? or on the Facebook page?!

By the way if you aren't already following me on facebook and twitter head on over and follow for latest updates on life, the blog sale and so on. The buttons are on my right hand panel. I'll follow you right back!!!

With that I am off to the Botanical Gardens!

Photos, Photos 30 and 365?! Yes!

Today is sort of an exciting mix of lots of things. First I want to complete Day 5 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge, and then I’ll introduce you to the first 5 days of my 365 Project that I’m joining another one of the lovely ladies I bet on the blog world and finally a few exciting news about the Blog Sale.

First things first. Day 5: High angle

Day 5. High Angel

BOOM! I honestly wasn’t up anywhere high, so I had to improvise. I tried my feet. I tried looking down into the living room from our loft, I tried hanging out of the window, I even considered getting on the room of the house and climbed on top of the Camaro which gave the Mister a heart attack… ooopsie.

Finally, I realized that this was the perfect photo. I love the colors and angles in this one. And it’s a photo of shoes, which just makes it perfect.

Next up is: 365 Project

Megan over at A Suitcase and Stilettos decided she was going to start the 365 Photography Challenge on June 1st, I was initially going to wait until next year after being inspired by the Mister’s Cousin’s fiancĂ©, but my hands have been itching, so I’m starting with Megan.

For the first 30 day’s my pictures will overlap with those from the 30 Day Photography Challenge, also I will be doing 214 days, since we have already passed the first 151 days and I’d like to start a whole new year on the first of January.

Day 1. Self Portrait

Day 1: This is me, and my beautiful baby. I was running late to lunch with my grandpa, but wanted to snap my first photo before I left. So there you have it.

Day 2 What I wore today

Day 2: I went down to the Children’s Hospital for a research meeting and had decided to dress up. I guess it also helped that it was “outfit” photo day for the 30 Day Challenge.

Day 3. Clouds

Day 3: We had a beautiful almost cloudless day here in Denver. It would have been perfect if it wasn’t for all the wind trying to blow me away.

Day 4. Something Green

Day 4: We celebrated my brother-in-laws birthday with a second party at Red Lobster, and then had some carrot cake at our place, where we finished off the night watching Undercover Blues.

Day 5. High Angel

Day 5: Spent a good portion of time deciding which shoes I could part with for my Blog Sale. These beauties will be one of them.

Finally: BLOG SALE

I went through my shoes and jewelry yesterday and today, and have collected a number of things that will be on the Blog Sale.

Other than that, I’m off to put pictures together and get the shoes and jewelry all set up.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend, and a relaxing Sunday night before a hectic week.

30 Day Photo Challenge – Day 3

Here is my update for the 30 Day Photography Challenge. Lori over at Happy Chaos life inspired got this thing going, and my friend Kristen over at Asymmetrical Joy let me know about it.

Day 3: Clouds

Today was not a very cloudy day. In fact it was hot, with almost perfectly clear skies. Not a single cloud available for a photo shoot. But then I changed some settings and made one come out to play. He was sort of boring, but this is what y’all get.

Day 3. Clouds

I had to reduce the exposure and enhance the contrast for you to even see the soft layer of clouds. Can’t complain though, today was beautiful and if the wind wasn’t there it would have been perfect.

I’m off to dewrinkel some clothes for the Blog Sale!

Confessional Friday

It’s Friday again and time for the confessions for the week. I’m linking up with Mamarazzi!

Photobucket

Confession number one! I cannot believe it is already Friday. Did this week just fly by or what?! I love when we get a long four day weekend followed by a four day workweek, but this was the fastest it has gone by. I cannot tell you how glad I am that another week is under my belt, while I hate time flying by I’m excited for this year to be over so that our debt can be paid and we can move on to bigger and better things. Time flying also means we’re closer to the next payday and closer to paying things off.

I hate debt. Really, and the Mister and I have vowed to never get into debt again. Once our credit cards are paid off, we’ll be using cash for everything. It’s sad that my education and our vacations have done to our financial situations. BUT I confess that while I freak out now and then, I feel confident that we’re on the right track.

I confess that I loved going to Body Pump on Wednesday but I hate how sore my body is right now. AND swear to never miss another class or a day at the gym.

I also confess that I’m trying to clean out my closet, and I keep finding things that I’ve impulsively bought and have either worn once or NEVER at all. So what would you all think about having a blog-sale with all the items that I do not have room for but cannot bring myself to give away to God knows who. I would want them to go to someone who would actually use them.

I also confess that I do not want to go back to full time retail work. I love what I do at the hospital even though I don’t get paid for it. I love the kids I tutor and have made some great friends tutoring college students. I love that I am home when the Mister gets home and have time to cook and clean. HENCE I confess that I’ve been working some projects to try and work from home full time. This would be ideal.

I confess that I have too many confessions for today, but don’t want to bore you to death with all of them. Hence, I confess that I’m going to stop confessing right now.

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday, filled with lots of smiles, laughs and love.
