Lots of things to Love

As I stated last week, there’s a lot of things in my life that I’m loving, and I most likely sound like one of those overwhelmingly happy-all-the-time people who are just having the perfect life. Please know that my life is no where near perfect, and there are lots of things I could complain about, I just choose not to right now. If I did choose to complain, I feel that I may go down a path of depression and really… that’s just not a good place to be. So, it’s Wednesday, and I’m linking up with Jamie over at this kind of love!

I’m loving

… that the hubs let me sleep in a little today and took Lilly out for her morning bathroom break

… that we have amazing neighbors who have the cutiest little boy and so many of the same interests as us. It sure makes moving to a place where we known no one a lot easier.

… that I get to go get my nails done with said amazing neighbor

… that I am having Nutella for breakfast nutella

by the spoonful and right out of the jar

… the fan/light that is now installed in our bedroom.

Thanks to the amazing husband who can pretty much do anything. However, I’m NOT loving that all the breakers are labeled wrong, and that we have to flip the “kitchen island” switch to shut off power in the master bedroom… FAIL electrician FAIL

I am absolutely loving these two…

kristin

Kristin and Ki… Kristin blogs over here, and I don’t know what I’d do without our almost daily Skype sessions.

I am loving that my parents birthdays are a day apart. Literally… born the same year and all. And that I have a big surprise for them… since this is the first birthday that I wont get to celebrate with them.

Speaking of parents… I could love mine more.

I’m also loving these impulse purchases that I shouldn’t have really made:

Forever21 – $11.80

Forever21 – $22.80

beautiful skirt that can be dressed up or down. AND you can't beat the price

Forever21 – $20.00 (no longer available)

image

AE – $39.99

Can you blame me? With these kinds of prices, I just couldn’t pass them up.

I’m ALSO LOVING the new photography gear I got… with the husband’s blessing of course:

Some color gels to go with this little flash:

I decided to go with the Canon one, just because I like to keep things in brand. It is a bit more pricey to go with a brand flash, but the quality and durability is worth it to me. If you are looking for an external flash and don’t want to spend a lot, here is a great one that you can try out:

It gets great reviews and the only thing that it doesn’t have is the auto-set with the camera, so you have to manually set the power of the flash… which is usually better anyways. This baby is going for about $70.00 right now. I plan on getting one to have as a second.

A tripod… I have an amazing monopod, but not a very good tripod, so I invested a little bit into getting a nice one that will last me a few years. And of course, I needed a new ball-head for the above tripod:

My monopod and the ball-head are both Manfrotto and I LOVE THEM. So I figured this is a pretty good choice. It also has the quick release, which will save you a ton of time taking the camera off the tripod.

I also got these guys:

An external shutter control and a reflector. These were cheap, and I learned the hard way that it’s best to have them around, then to need them and not have them. The shutter remote is about $20 and the reflector is under that.

Finally… I am Loving these two:

and this one:

Hope you all are having a great Wednesday!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

It’s Wednesday, and that means that I’m link up with beautiful Jamie over at This Kind of Love.

There is always so much to love on Wednesday, especially lately. Wednesdays have turned into my favorite days of the week. Usually, I have the day off from work, school, and such. I get to have lunch with my grandpa and I get to catch up on life. Today, might be a little hectic since I have a few articles to start and finish since my computer is still inaccessible it might be a bit of a complicated task, but regardless the sun is shining, and everything is at peace.

Oh and to top things off, my cousin just had her baby halfway across the world. I wish I could go see my new little niece but it may have to wait until next summer when we have the money for such an expensive trip. BOO! I want to see her NOW. Any of you want to finance my trip?! Any takers at all?!

Anyways, so that would be the first thing I’m loving! I have a new niece I get to buy all kinds of cute things for. I’m thinking some of these:

My friend Ashley makes these beautiful baby accessories, and I talked about her in this post. She is the owner of Cupcake Couture. You all should check them out if you have little ones that need cute accessories.

I’m also loving these amazing pieces of jewelry from Marolsha

A Spring Garden Necklace. Spring and Summer Inspired, Romantic, Sweet. A Great Gift. Garden Weddings.

Summer Sun- A Pale Ivory Cream Rose Cabochon and Blue Turquoise Howlite Gemstone Beads Necklace. Bridal Gift. Summer Inspired.

Tamaria - A Clear Vintage Glass Pear shaped Earrings. Romantic, Elegant, Feminine

Aren’t they just perfect? She has a ton of other items that I am absolutely in love with. AND I sort of wish I had unlimited funds to make all of them mine. I am going to have to add a few of them to my collection regardless. LOVE them!.

I’m also loving these shoes:

I need a new pair of flats, and I love the yellow, and the gems on this Naughty Monkey. They seem perfect for a summer day out or even a night out on the town.

These Guess by Marciano wedges are amazing. They look perfect for the summer. And I just love, LOVE, love Guess shoes. I haven’t owned a pair that was not comfortable or that I did not absolutely love.

As always I’m loving life in general.

And of course my handsome, hard working and absolutely amazing husband.

I’d like to point out that he deals with the above very well, and its another reason why I love him so dang much.

Hope y’all are having a fantastic Wednesday!

What I’m Loving Wednesday

It seems that I’ve been loving lots of things lately so I’m linking up with Jamie over at this kind of love.

I’m loving that we’ll be visiting the Grand Canyon in two months time with some of our best friends

It’s hard to beat this kind of natural beauty and we hear August is some of the best time to go.

These pumps!

image

And the fact that they should be arriving at my doorstep sometime today. Yay! for sexy nude pumps.

These Dresses

image   image

You may think I’m crazy, but I was wearing a long ribbed tank the other day while trying to find a pair of jeans to wear, and the hubby commented that a dress like that would look cute. I remembered seeing them at Victoria Secret and here they are.

I also came across this dress while looking for the two above. Yup. I’m in love.

And this.

Smile

Okay and one last one

How I wish I had a bottomless wallet that could afford all these pretty dresses.

I’m kind of… sort of… loving the fact that this could be our new city, potentially

Austin, Texas

or this

Dallas, Texas

Loving that I will have the opportunity and the choice to make our first house look like this:

These are just ideas, but some that come from the builder that we are looking to build with. These models and styles are available both in Austin and Dallas area.

I just really love the fact that I will walk into a home that I have chosen rather then one that will need to be scrubbed and cleaned. Our first home will have everything that we wont and will need zero amount of “prettying up.” I hope I don’t sound like a snob, but neither the Mister nor I really get into home improvement DIY projects so if we moved into an older home and it didn’t have hardwood floors we’d have to hire someone to replace the carpet or redo counters or what not. So in order to save us the time, headache and money we have finally decided to build… Not custom just yet, but brand new for sure.

Ha! On that note… I’ll finish up with the fact that I’m always and forever loving my amazing husband!

It was kind of freezing on graduation day. Hence the hoodie, leather jacket and gloves.

Shoe’s Always Fit #2

image

So here are these weeks finds!

  1. Alexander Birman – $495.00 (Find here)
  2. Christian Louboutin – $595.00 (Find here)
  3. Valentino – $885.00 (Find here)
  4. Aldo’s – $70.00 (Find here)
  5. Guess – $90.00 (Find here)
  6. Paris Hilton – $63.00 On Sale Originally $89.00 (Find here)

While I will one day buy a pair of the Louboutin pumps, I can say that the Carrie’s from Guess are my go to. I have several different colors of this style and they are the most comfortable pumps to spend a day in. When I worked in retail and banking these are the only shoes I wore for a 12 hour day on my feet. I’ve gone through at least 3 pairs of black Carries and I always buy more. They are perfect!

The Paris Hilton imitations of the Valentino, I bought completely randomly not even realizing that they were a copy of the designer until after they were delivered. When they first came out about a two years ago, I bought the Paris Hilton black patient leather pumps. They aren’t the most comfortable thing in the world, and I wouldn’t suggest wearing them for a day on your feet, but they look amazing and are perfect for a cocktail party.

As far as purchasing cost, it would cost $1975.00 to purchase the designer shoes, and only $223.00 to get the “lesser designers.” So for 11% of the designer cost you can have 3 pairs of very similar and equally gorgeous shoes!

Hope you all are having a great Tuesday! I’ve got a small treat for you in an hour or so, so check back!
